38 billion is in fact only 1% of the government spending, but most people doesn’t seem to know that the government are already overspending by 50% of their (your tax) income.

The only way to make this temporarily sustainable, is to make money less worth in the pockets of the people, resulting in food, power and needed commodities strengthening in price.

So basically you pay more taxes that is diversified on every citizen through inflation.

I am sorry to say this America, but you are on the verge of an economical disaster.

When that is said, there is hope. I think that hope will be in the aftermath of the outcome that you are about to experience, you the people will hopefully restore sound money with riots and protests on the ideology that made this possible.

Keynesian ideology must die as practised by Ben Bernanke. True capitalism must reemerge with a lot of deregulations, let there be an easy understandable tax on spending and shrink the government by at least half.

Then there is hope, but you definitely have some tough years ahead in the next decade. After a crash that affects all, people tend to reason and start over.
