What you need to be happy
I am standing outside on my parents porch, looking out on the fjord that we are so blessed to have in our sight.
I am getting into the thoughts of what we truly need in our life, what is it that makes us happy and what makes us do all the things we do everyday as I stand there watching everything move in the delightful summer breeze.
I look up as I hear a commercial airplane passing over the house, I can see the red nose and state to myself what airline it is. I look at it as it pass over the fjord and behind the mountains, I think of how lucky they are to see the mountains in this beautiful weather from that view.
I see a boat buzzing across the fjord in high speed, as I watch it it hits me that I do not need to buy a boat to experience it, with my sight and mind I am able to be satisfied.
I see suddenly birds flying in the garden and I realize there is no need for me to have birds caged inside my house. I am starting to connect the dots that not everyone need to have what is already there.
My mind travels into the economic perspective of it and I realize that with my online firm I do not need to have a car, to live in a connected city and all I need is a local store I find reasonable food prices.
I do not need a car because I rarely need to travel anywhere and most importantly I get all my postage delivered/picked up at the door (or can be arranged for a reasonable price).
I do not need the interconnection you find in a city with stores, training facilities and a thriving pool of people to be happy. I find happiness by my sole existence and that God has helped me find another compatible existence where we are the fountain for all the need of being truly connected. God is our river and source.
For the future of food I like the idea of a store that bring me goods with the payment of some of my goods converted into exchangeable money. For the future I have the possibility to start my own limited food production for personal use with easy things as potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers etc.
In reality I do not need anything that is manmade of others, but sometimes I want what others have made in exchange for what my hands have accomplished.
Wealth is you. Wealth is knowing yourself. Wealth is being alive and God is the source of our happiness.
